Dark Shadows is a horror comedy film based on the 1966–71 gothic horror soap opera of the same name.   Johnny Depp stars as Barnabas Collins, a 200-year-old vampire who was imprisoned in a coffin but is unearthed and makes his way back to his mansion now inhabited by his dysfunctional descendants.




The director, Tim Burton is also known for Alice in Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands or Corpse Bride, so this team obviously means great expectations.  Dark Shadows is based on a cult soap opera with supernatural themes, but is offers high quality visual experience and a well-prepared horror -comedy.

Adding to this Depp’s performance Dark Shadows can be considered as an impressive summer comedy. If you are a fan of horror -comedies or a fan of Johnny Depp then you will probably like this movie.  It worth watching.
